43,000 Workers Set to Vote in Bitter Union Faceoff Starting this week, about 43,000 Kaiser employees up and down California will choose between the giant Service Employees International Union and the pint-sized NUHW, whose leaders broke away from the larger union early last year. Balloting is by mail. The stakes are huge, beyond the wards and clinics of the roughly 300 Kaiser locations taking part in the vote.

Interesting article. Thanks for posting it.
It doesn’t seem like there’s a great deal of difference between the SEIU and NUHW - although I guess I’d like to see SEIU lose the vote.
I hope they kick the union bums and thugs out.
Sounds like voting for the frying pan or the fire...
Wonder which side the postal unions are on?
National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU)
American Postal Workers Union (APWU)
National Rural Leter Carriers Assn (NRLCA)
National Assn of Letter Carriers (NALC)
Yeah, I bet! I have no idea what these union members are paying annually in dues, but if each union member is paying only $500 a year, that amounts to $2,1500,000 for the union bosses to spend on themselves and their favorite Democrat politicians.
Isn’t there another choice? None of the above
Not good for Kaiser or these service unions if REAL, consumer-driven healthcare reform takes place.
