White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett on Monday downplayed her interest in becoming White House chief of staff.
"I don't want to change jobs, I love my job," she said on ABC's "The View."
Jarrett is a close personal friend of President Obama and serves as an assistant to the president for public engagement and intergovernmental affairs. She's one of a handful of White House insiders whom some consider to be the closest advisers to Obama.
Jarrett has been seen as a possible successor to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel should he resign to run for mayor of Chicago.
