The Florida pastor of a small Christian church in Gainesville, FL found himself at the center of an international firestorm last week. Even the staunchest of conservatives advised him against burning Qur’ans in protest of Islam. U.S. Commander in Afghanistan David Petraeus said it would endanger our troops.
However alienated and marginalized Pastor Terry Jones may be as a result, an unintended consequence of his plan is the exposure of a new low water mark for egregious and blatant double standards.

I post this thread not out of hate for muslims, but of huge mistrust of them!
I can't believe FR would be politcally correct in this matter.
“Double standard” doesn’t explain it.
Terrorists are the poor disadvantaged two-year olds of the world. So we expect tantrums of them, accepting the behavior as “normal”, for their status in the world.
“We” are the adults of the world. Thus, responsible behavior is expected of us. We aren’t allowed to threaten or retaliate.
Perhaps a little Psych 101 lesson applies here:
“You get the behavior that you reward.”

I don’t know about toilet paper, but I went to a Muslim website and printed a couple of pages from their online Quran. I then ceremoniously burned them in my fire pit. I think I am going to make this my 9/11 tradition.
I don’t know how many know this; but the nuclear option in this desecration/sacrilege business would be the public burning of the saudi flag. I believe that would make the ragtime cowboys cry “uncle”.
I don't think 0bama will try to offend the saudis, only bow to them lower!
I hope I'm not too optimistic to think that the dims are on their way out in November, and 0bozo is a one term president!
Maybe it was the picture of a koran in a dead pig’s mouth that was too much for the mods that caused that thread to be pulled. Koran artwork the time has come for that concept.
