Israeli pilots shot down 44 Syrian jets, mostly MiG-21s and MiG-23s, and destroyed 17 Syrian air-defense missile batteries for the loss of two of their own fixed-wing aircraft.I seem to recall reading the score being more like Israeli pilots shooting down 87 or 88 and losing none.

The Skyhawk in that photo is sporting a tailhook, meaning it is a beefed up Navy model capable of aircraft carrier landings.
