Smart in her sense doesn’t mean being able to puzzle dauntingly complex situations out nearly as much as it means having a true moral north star and not losing sight of it or losing the will to follow it. I’m trying to say that being a whiz kid isn’t as important as being a wise person. When wise, you can transcend the hurdles of having to puzzle a lot of stuff out on your own.

You can’t judge a book by its cover. Sarah’s IQ might exceed Obama’s by double digits. In 6th grade (ancient history) a teacher tried to motivate me by showing me where I stood in IQ scores compared to others in my class. The kids who got the best grades seemed to be in the 115-120 range. Those in the 140-150 range were not the best students, didn’t demonstrate their intelligence verbally in class and I hadn’t guessed were the smartest. Based on Sarah being a lifelong journal keeper and with her record of achievement and success at many different endeavors, I would guess she would score high on those tests.
