It is not the best article of 2010. The bar has already been set very high by THIS article, which really is the best, about the Ruling Class and us countrypeople.

D’Souza has written a wonderful article, but there is a problem with it. All that flowery, descriptive language about Obama in Africa was no doubt written by Bill Ayers. I am not sure Obama is that concerned about anticolonialism, but he definitely buys into it.

I think Obama was brung, and them who brung him feel exactly as D’Souza explains. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself. He’s a stunted asocial arrogant man, the result of an abandoned and abused childhood.

He doesn’t know his father’s dreams. Neither did Ayers, but Ayers knew how to fake them for the most profit for the cause.

It was a good article, but the garbage in his book concerning his fathers grave was all BS. His father was a b*****d and he knows it. Right now it is all about his personal profit and Islam. Everything he does helps Islam and enriches his power structure. The US is just a vehicle for him. It is all about the bling. IMHO.

I agree that the article is not all that great. First of all, the point was made a year ago by an African woman, L. E. Igenga.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/06/obama_the_african_colonial.html

She argues that Obama, Sr., was not simply anti-colonial but a typical African colonial who hates whitey for colonizing his country yet, instead of embracing traditional African culture goes for an imported Western ideology, Marxism.

Second, some of D’Souza’s points are more persuasive than others. Some of the phenomena associated with President Obama could be just as well explained by causes other than anti-colonialism.

As with all “this explains everything” theses, it doesn’t. This anti-colonialism, hatred of America as Big Meanie, is part of who Zero is, for sure. But a good bit of that is found in the faculty lounges he has inhabited—there’s a whole generation of Americans who hate America without ever having experienced colonialism.

So, it’s a good article, certainly worth pondering, but Ikenga’s is even more helpful. And for 2010, I agree that Cordevilla Ruling Class article is, so far, the best.
