How do you not understand that there is no social security money left? My generation will not get what we paid in and I turn 50 in a few weeks.I would gladly tke both of our parents in if that is what needs to be done but I truly think that some of you should face up to the fact that in 1965 LBJ raided the trust fund and had it put into the general fund and now has even spent way beyond that keeping entitlemints rolling out. The moment that China says no more the whole house of cards come crashing.We ALL will have to sacarfice there is no way around it and to think that we will not have to is a complete fantasy.
You made my point for me when you stated that the trust fund was raided, Chris. It certainly was! It is that thievery and many other examples of thievery in our government that makes me go all “Howard Beal.”
And again, you are absolutely correct that if China decides to say no more or call in their notes....well you said it, it all comes crashing down.
I don't disagree with a thing that you've said. You are on point. There is no fantasy in my home. Only fear and anger as I watch the “shining city on the hill” and all it stood for under attack every single day.
This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. There are thousands of programs out there funded by the federal government, just like this one while American citizens fret and stress over budgets and their retirement. Thousands. And that doesn't even start to address the redundancy in government workers, departments, etc....
This is what drives me everyday to get up and fight back any way that I can.
