RIP Sir!
It worked, and this guy was one of the most important people in the Pacific War.
However, I keep thinking that nothing like this would have worked on US code-breakers. If they Japanese had used a little known native language to transmit their messages, we would have figured it out in days.
Semper Fi Mr. June. Though the nation lost a hero, and we Marines lost a brother, you will never be forgoten.
In harmony may I walk.
With harmony before me may I walk.
With harmony behind me may I walk.
With harmony above me may I walk.
With harmony underneath my feet, may I walk.
With harmony all around me may I walk.
It is done in harmony.

You did great. Thanks for posting. May he rest in God’s eternal embrace and grace.
There use to be a code talker on Hannity’s board years ago. A very sweet man and conservative to the max. I just adored him. I haven’t been on Hannity’s board in years,so not sure if he is still posting or not.
From the Halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli
We fight our country’s battles
In the air, on land, and sea;
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean;
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine.
Our flag’s unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far-off Northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will find us always on the job —
The United States Marines.
Here’s health to you and to our Corps
Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we’ve fought for life
And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven’s scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
R.I.P.
Rest in Peace, Brother, and thank you for your service.

Thank you for your service in the cause of
RIP.
My grandfather’s name was Allen Dale, too. Small world.
Rest in Peace Soldier, (I’ll bet you got a good laugh talking with your buddies!) A Medal of Honor in my book. :^)
Thank you for your unique service to our country. A job well done, and we will not forget.
May you rest in peace, Amen.
Now off to a real “Happy Hunting Ground”. God be with you...hero.
on’t be so cocky. It took us much longer to break the Japanese codes than it did to break the German codes. And it took the capture of one of the German code machines to accomplish that. And even then, the German Navy used separate ciphers for their communications than did the German land forces.
