The Associated Press reports that Irans Culture Ministry announced today that one of the three UC Berkeley graduates being held in Tehran will be released on Saturday. No more details were given.
Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd and Josh Fattal have been held in Iran since last July, when they were arrested and accused of spying. The three and their families have consistently insisted that they were on a hiking trip in northern Iraq and mistakenly wandered across the border. The U.S. State Department has been vocal in calling for the release of the three. ...
Also, if it was so easy to wander across the border from Iraq to Iran, isn't the reverse also true? If, why?
Very puzzling why they were there. She’s a left-wing journalist and did a story about Iraqi’s, not sure about there other two.
If it like Korea we pay large amounts of money a grovel some president to get these special agents out. The rationale is— “We sent them — let’s get them out” But don’t give me this “out for a hike stuff. “ok gang lets go see the beautiful mountains on the Iranian border with Iraq”? I don’t think so.
“Who knew they were Berkeley Grads ??? LOL !!!”
Same here, these Idiots went hiking there when California has many beautiful areas. I see the girl has become Muslim looking in attire, that plastic liberal mind is easy to bend, and maybe she was given a mission of blowing up something back in the evil states..
Also, it is as easy to cross borders out in the boonies without knowing.
Nuff said. Where will the liberal twits plan their next international incident?
