at 6’3” tall and 230 lbs, there is just no way that I will be even remotely comfortable on one of those things. It’s bad enough now in sardine class, they seem to think that you can stuff more sardines into the same can.
I’ll drive instead. Saves me the indignity of the full body search, ID check, and general pain in the arse, of no smoking.

Don’t forget, horseback riding is fun and relaxing as well...the fact that you are having fun takes away some of the muscle ache. Being crammed in between Jaba the Hut and some mom and her three year old who has had too much candy and OPPS it’s nap time is neither fun nor relaxing.

And I’d be just one of many to have two very fat fatsos sitting on either side spilling over on to my seat.

might as well do this:

I’m pretty much the same size as you. I have not flown since 1999. This won’t entice me back. I drove across the country in 2003 rather than fly.

We took our kid on a trip on a plane when he was 3 (North West). He was strapped into a car seat. Kept kicking the seat in front of him. Did I mention he was a small 3 year old?

Maybe people should be drugged into a coma then stacked like cord wood in the plane. Check out the movie "The Fifth Element". All the passengers on a space plane are loaded into what is essentially a filing cabinet drawer.

Just to show how far the antismoking Nazis have come, it was in the late 1980’s when the airlines first came up with no smoking flights if the flight was under 2 hours.

Same here.
My last trip on a commercial jet was 1984.
I won’t be getting on one again.

When passengers start keeling over from the blood clots induced by these seats, they may have to rethink their “business model”.

Someone else sent that link to me. I should have known. :-)

I agree they never mean to use these seats. They publicize them so they can upcharge for the current size seats, calling them deluxe, business class, preferred seating, etc.

Typical of the old Northwest Airlines DC 9s. Obviously you never flew Air Ca[tt]l[e] back in the late 70s.
