Mrs. Palin is a civilian, as are the majority of Americans. Aside from her political aspirations, there is no expectation of a mandatory response on any given subject from me, although I may be in the minority on that belief.
In the same breath, who is she, or anyone else in this country, to deny any American citizen the right to express themselves in this manner? She may feel that it is prudent to denigrate American citizens for expressing themselves according to their First Amendment rights, but I'm personally sick and tired of ALL politicians believing that it is their responsibility to tell us how we should think.

I appreciate knowing Sarah's thoughts on a wide variety of issues. She is not politically naive and is choosing her responses well and to great effect. The majority is with her on this one...having the right to doesn't necessarily make it the right thing to do. Pay attention or ignore her as you see fit...it's still a free country (for now).

In the same breath, who is she, or anyone else in this country, to deny any American citizen the right to express themselves in this manner? I haven't heard her or anyone else say the Koran burners don't have a right to do it.
They're basically just saying it's a dumb thing to do. And it's their right to say so.

Why don't you amass a pile of Korans and have a giant bonfire? I'm *sure* this action will prevent terrorism.
(If not, at least you and the others living in the trailer park will have something to roast your hot dogs on)
