... despite his $174,000 annual salary, the veteran congressman wouldn’t pay for his wife’s criminal defense attorney.

I'm gonna guess that in their home they have seperate bedrooms, and have for some time.

The only difference between Detroit and the United States is Democrats haven’t been in charge of the United States long enough.

I don't think she'll be giving any of her famous lip to any of the ‘Shrek’ cracker guards unless she wants to spend some time in the hole. Meanwhile, hubby John gonna be enjoyin’ 3 years of peace and quiet at home.

Democrapic Party blacks in government & academia: Rep. Conyers, his covict wife, Mayor Kirkpartick, the NOLA “ColdCash” Us Representative recently convicted, the “Chocolate City Mayor Nagin, Rep. “He Who Must Not Be Named - from Harlem, ad nauseam.

Republican blacks in government & academia: Alan Keyes, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas.

However,, the Democrapic Party has Caslypso Louie and there is no one on the Pubbie side to remotely compete with him.

Worse yet, there is absolutely not one single person on the Pubbie side who can begin to be compared to Rev. Wright.

What will we do! It is so unfair!

/snark off

What a strange world we live in, when the wife of the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee is sentenced to jail for bribes she took as a City Councilwoman.

When the head of the Ways and Means Committee is under investigation for not paying his taxes.

When the most Senior black member of the House is charged with ethics violation.Waters’ husband is a stockholder and former director of OneUnited Bank and the bank’s executives were major contributors to her campaigns. In September 2008, Waters arranged meetings between U.S. Treasury Department officials and OneUnited Bank, so that the bank could plead for federal cash. It had been heavily invested in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and its capital was “all but wiped out” after the U.S. government took them over. The bank received $12 million in Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) money.[38][39] The matter is currently being investigated by the House Ethics Committee

When another member of the CBC is under investigation for giving scholarships to her family in violation of ethics rules.

When Cynhia McKinney slapped a Capitol police Officer.

When Cold cash Jefferson kept bribe money in his freezer.

Do we see a pattern here? Are these the people we want running our country?

The Conyers case is just one of many public corruption scandals to rock Detroit in the last few years. The beleaguered city’s mayor (Kwame Kilpatrick) went to jail for a multitude of crimes, its deputy mayor pleaded guilty to bribery and several public school employees have been charged with numerous felonies for embezzling education funds."

There IS one common thread running through all this criminal conduct, however...

Expectations of entitlement to various ‘privileges’ will only amount to having another thing coming.

People like Monica Conyers have that to look forward to but they won’t see it because they’re too close to it and because they’re liberal extremists.
