Acting like the barbarians is hardly courageous or the American War - and is putting our troops in real time danger - a convoy was attacked a couple days and every windshield in the hhumvees/MRAPS broken - today a convoy was attacked by a mob of 600 hurling stones - the direct consequences of these attention grabbing fools.

And these dumb as*ses know they are safe - they are over here. But our troops now, after all they've been through, have to take the brunt of it - and see all they've accomplished, tenuous as it is, now being destroyed - back to point zero...all because of a few sniveling attention hounds....

Does anyone get the fact that this may be exactly what our enemies WANT? Does anyone suspicion this may be the plan?

Mainiac, as many have pointed out, highly restrictive Rules of Engagement put on our soldiers puts our troops in danger far more than anything we can do here other than betray military secrets. How about you put your energy toward screaming bloody murder about that, demanding that the President and Congress rescind ROEs that put our troops in danger, rather than advocating that free Americans self-censor in order not to anger an irrational enemy that will get angry whether or not Korans are burned on this date on American soil?

More important, the mere burning of paper, the mere burning of Korans, IS CIVIL. It is peaceful, lawful, purely symbolic, and civil protest, and particularly appropriate on this day of all days. Would that Muslims take the same approach in protesting Christianity, burning mere bibles rather than people. For you to compare burning Korans on this day to "acting like the barbarians," who saw people's heads off as they breathe, who burn people alive, who strap bombs to themselves or their retarded children and have them ignite in public places to kill "infidels" -- well, really, somebody needs to just slap you upside the head for such a ridiculous, hysterical take on the situation.

Burning Korans IS a civil form of protest, and if this kind of mild, civil, legal, non-violient protest within our own nation truly endangers our troops overseas ... then we've already lost.

I am utterly amazed at how some people are driven by STUPID impulses! That’s what happens when people are so ‘narrow-minded’ about a specific belief, that all else becomes ‘secondary’ and ‘not important’ - forgetting that their blind stupidity ultimately endangers the very thing that they espouse to protect.
