I caught the end of the tribute to the 9/11 victims during the GA/SC game. (ESPN2 must have run out of commercials). They were holding a banner “We Will Not Forget” and as the camera faded out, it focused on a young man in the stands obviously torn. His anguish turned to tears and he buried his head in his hands.
I hate to sound like an old person (Grandma that I am, LOL!) but scenes like that give me hope for the future of this nation. There will be those who will continue to fight this battle once we leave this earth.
The American Spirit is real. No one can ever destroy it.
