just brilliant...What a brilliant and articulate response...a snide comment on my screen name...
and then the eloquent response to my points....”learn more. preach less.”
No. I think it is YOU who needs to learn more, a lot more, about this enemy...about the war on terror. You don’t have a corner on the market on hatred for the terrorists so don’t patronize me.
No one is saying that our rage at 9-11 is to go un dealt with...But right now our country has decided NOT to carpet bomb Afghanistan. And so, I would listen to Petreus as HE, not hysterics on Fr, is in charge of the safety of our troops.
I am also not saying that all this Koran burning/not burning has not been a ‘teachable moment” about Islam, in or out of this country and for that, that is a positive.
Of course it isn't. It's a teachable moment about these United States of America, and our First Amendment rights.
I've had it up to here (Fingers above eyebrows) with "teachable moments" about Islam. I even hate the phrase, "teachable moments."
Yet where were the condemnations of the democrat party as they called this war immoral and blamed America for offenses against Saddam Hussein. When the democrats continaully looked to hype issues to make our troops look bad or to accuse them of atrocities. Whwn left-wingers and democrats went over and stood side by side with dictators and terrorists.
Dont give me the BS that burning a koran is a great danger to our troops when the democrats have been using the 1st Amendment for years now to endanger our troops.
Follow left-wing talking points if you want but this act was what is needed and not a threat as you claim.
The general plays politics, too. He isn’t an authority on the First Amendment, hippie.
