Most of the computer-Armchair Freepers who are soooooo versed in the Islamofascist history and current situation are probably just making a very simple error in their defense of public Koran burnings:
They assume the following about those angry Muslims in the mideast burning flags:
1. They are getting their news updates from Fox and CNN.
2. They are literate, therefore getting their news about any potential Koran burnings from the NYT.
3. They , of course, understand the finer points of our country’s politics that our US constitution allows the burning of items and general desecration of any religious items as part of Free speech.( uh, just like in their own countries, huh?)
4. That they of course understand that we have 100 Mosques in just NYC and Muslims are free to practice their religion.
.( uh, just like in their own countries, huh?)
5. That these Muslims are very aware that Sept 11 was a Tragic and sad day for Americans and our nerves might just be on edge.
Oh, uh ...BTW any comparisons yet to the Muslim protests and flag burnings to any Leftist or Black Power protests in LA?

What these Neanderthals that have been so anxious to decide what I think for me don't get is:
-I support the rights and liberties for any American who thinks burning a Koran will accomplish something. I've never said "don't do it."
-I do NOT support or condone appeasement to the Muslims of any sort whatsoever. I cringe at the pictures of them closing intersections on Madison Avenue in NYC on Friday afternoons with their butts in the air and I disdain the cowardly city officials who allow it.
-I think the idea of a mosque near Ground Zero is abominable.
-I think they should adapt to our culture or get the hell out of our country. I detest any politician who encourages them to ram their backwards culture down our throats.
That being said, I also think the whole Pastor Jones idea was a stupid publicity stunt and I still maintain that the media hype about the event and the potential event itself had the potential for putting our troops and other Americans in the Middle East in increased danger.
That's all I've ever said about it, but I get these wild-eyed, hyperbolic drama queens foaming at the mouth, slinging mindless insults, accusing me of appeasing the Muslims, being pro-jihadi and even of treason.
It's a shame that most of the Keyboard Kommandos around here apparently have IQs that don't quite make it out of double digits.
