Actually, it’s a categorical you’re attempting to describe, not a concept. I understand the concept perfectly. I’m talking about the designation of places and things.

I would suggest that your reply confirms my statement, but I will try.

Hallowed Ground are places of such importance that well Abraham Lincoln put it much better that anyone I know: "But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate; we can not consecrate; we can not hallow; this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract."

Hallowed Ground are beacons of man's history, beacons who's brightness is such that not the passing of time nor even the greatest of social or political upheavals can dim their importance.

Hallowed Ground are places which need to be preserved as they are the landmarks on the map of Humanity's travels. Places of such importance that without them we can not see where we have been or where we need to go.

That's the best I can do in a way of explanation and undoubtedly I did a poor job and you still do not understand, but I believe that there are many many FRiends here that will and do, which only brings us back to my first answer: That Hallowed Ground is a concept that if you don't understand it no amount of explanation will.
