Obama Voices Strongest Support Yet for Location of Ground Zero Mosque

President Obama voiced his strongest support yet Friday for a plan to locate a Muslim community center and mosque two blocks from ground zero in New York City, saying constructing the facility there was an "inalienable right."

Asked during a Friday news conference what he thought the reaction would be if the site were moved, Obama replied: "This country stands for the proposition that all men and women are created equal, that they have certain inalienable rights. One of those inalienable rights is to practice their religion freely. And what that means is that if you could build a church on a site, you could build a synagogue on a site, you could build a Hindu temple on a site, then you should be able to build a mosque on the site."

Debra Burlingame, the sister of an American Airlines pilot who died in the 9/11 attacks, and who leads a group of 9/11 families staunchly opposed to the ground zero mosque location, told Newsmax in an exclusive interview that there now can be no doubt President Obama supports the specific location of the controversial mosque.

"There's no question now," Burlingame tells Newsmax. "He was given an opportunity. The question was posed: 'We all know there's freedom of religion, but where do you stand on the wisdom of putting this mosque there?' And his answer was to go back to this Koran burning, and how that would inflame the passions of more than a billion Muslims.

"He seems to utterly ignore or dismiss the passions or the sensibilities of 300 million Americans, including America Muslims, who told us this mosque, without question, will be interpreted in the Muslim world as ratification of the attacks that took place nine years ago, that it will be used to recruit jihadis...

Imam Rauf could stop all this with one sentence:

‘I had not realized how upsetting this would become so, in the interest of being sensitive to those in my adopted country and looking to build bridges with Americans, I have decided to choose another location for our mosque’

It can only defuse the situation if he himself decides to move the mosque. But he won’t. Because it’s really all about constructing a building on the site of a great victory for Muslims. We are not stupid. We won’t be fooled again.

so basically...I can pick something , say smoking, call it my religion and there is nothing they can do about it? I can open a building and let everyone smoke all day long and the government will support me 100%? what about perverts...call it a religion and our government will let you practice it right next door to a school because its your right?

“Why has the press refused to address the fact that there is no separation of church and state in Muslim countries, which makes the Mosque not only a holy building but a political structure? Inconvenient, perhaps?”

Same reason they refuse to address what happens to illegal immigrants who get caught crossing into Mexico. It doesn’t fit the template of American Marxists.

“America has made a terrible error in judgment electing this guy.”

And I hold responsible all those who voted for him, as they are complicit in the damage he is doing to the United States.

You shouldn’t. Some people saw through the lies, a lot didn’t. There is a reason his ratings are plummeting. It is not those who saw through him that are turning on him, it is those who didn’t. They are waking up too. I welcome them and I forgive them. I wanted to believe him too, I’m sure glad I didn’t. That’s the thing about liars, they tell you what you want to hear. I don’t blame them, I blame HIM and all the cronies around him who keep lying for him and with him (including the Media).

I think we should let them spend the money and build the mosque. Then late at night when nobody is around fly a drone into it. And then the next day everybody dance in the streets like all the Muslims did after 9/11.

Polls, elections, and theories are important but are becoming almost secondary in importance. This jerk has created a powder-keg in this country. If you live or work in a big city, especially in a large corporate office, you can feel the tension in the air every day. The tension in our cities is going to break bad if BO doesn't start to reflect the sentiments of the vast majority of our citizens.

What!?!?!

You mean the current landownder, the bank from whom the loan is sought AND the Zoning Commission don't get a say in whether this Mosque is built?
