Grassroots Christian activists from across the country are in Washington, D.C., learning how they can help change the course of the U.S. in November.
The conference is being hosted by the relatively new Faith and Freedom Coalition. However, the group is already experiencing growing pains.
The Faith and Freedom Coalition's first national conference will be filled with hundreds of grassroots leaders from across the country this weekend. Ralph Reed, the organization's founder, told CBN News that President Barack Obama's policies are making it easy to mobilize people of faith this year.
"Barack Obama has awakened the slumbering giant of the evangelical vote," Reed said.
It's Reed's goal to turn out so many evangelical Christians that they will make up more than 30 percent of people casting votes Nov. 2.
"If you can do that what looks like a wave is going to turn into a tsunami," he said. "Now, we do have some challenges. We have churches who believe that they're not supposed to be political and we would certainly agree with that in the sense of being partisan."

Reed is able to mobilize votes. He did it in 1994.
Hopefully they don’t stay home in November because the republican candidate isn’t PURE ENOUGH FOR THEM!!
Everything he does to mobilize his Alinski Base Mobilizes twice as many Americans.
I know where you're coming from, but conversely, our blind tolerance for candidates compromised on key issues will ultimately destroy us. Do you want a bullet through the head now, or an malignant, inoperable brain tumor?
So what are you going to do in Novemebr?? If you want purity, go to Church.....there is NO PERFECTION in politics...NONE.....you wouldn’t even agree with YOURSELF all the time in politics.
The 100 percent clkub are as much an enemy as obama.
The Republican Party has to show that it truly respects Conservatives by supporting conservative candidates like Joe Miller. Too many moderates dismiss the concerns of social conservatives as not really important. One can, of course, put an explosive issue like abortion to the side in the interests of a common front. But the medical reform bill shows that social issue such as abortion, embryonic cell research and mercy-killing are an integral part of the total liberal agenda.
They ARE supporting Joe Miller!! geesh....get up to speed.
What’s the 100 % club?
Yeah AFTER he won, before that they were trying to destroy his candidacy... geesh get up to speed!
IF hussein has NOT scared the living sh!t outta the American sleeping (marxist school/msm,Hollyweird, etc.)giant—not aino by now — it just ain’t gonna happen!!!!! !!!!!
They don’t endorse ANYONE in the PRIMARY!!! really....THINK.
So, answer my question, who are you going to vote for?
The 100% club are people who will sit home and complain about a nominee or candidate for office unless they get 100% OF WHAT THEY WANT out of that person.
You see it here with people attacking Fiorina, Sarah, etc.
I am VERY conservative, but change comes in small steps, and the first step is to get rid of ALL DEMOCRATS, then we can work at getting rid of RINO'S!! Some RINOS have already been knocked out..YEAH.
If obamas disaster of an admn is not enough to show some of these people how flaewed their purity tests are, I don’t know what is.
Note I said most.......
