More than 50 members of Sacramento's interfaith community - including Christians, Jews, Sikhs, Quakers, Muslims and Druids - will meet at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament on Saturday, the ninth anniversary of 9/11, for a "blessing of peace on the Quran."

No, they are not my “brothers and sisters. I am on record as saying that those who publicly burn the koran should holg themselves to account for the innocent deaths their actions trigger.

Furthermore, I am aware hat we have made common cause with some Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan; that is, we are allied with Muslims who DON’T want to kill us, against Muslims who DO want to kill us. Until those conflicts are finished, making ALL Muslims into our enemies runs counter to what our troops are trying to do, and greatly endangers them.

That being said, we must not be fools. While some parts of Sharia law (parts of which I am unaware) the parts with which I am familiar constitute abject EVIL. That being the case, Sharia law is in no way compatible with Christianity, nor is it compatible with the Constitution.

Since the koran is (at least in theory) the authoritative source of Sharia, it is foolish, nay blasphemous, for a Christian to “bless” it, just as if one were to bless the Satanic bible (by Anton Levay).
