It wasn't too bad. The press is clearly getting irritated with him, though most of the adversarial questions were along the lines of "why are you giving Republicans the rope they need to hang you with". There were a couple of pure suck ups, notably Chuck Todd. The president didn't um and ah as much as he normally does, and is clearly working on that. The president did say a few bizarre things which are going to upset his base, such as "one of the reasons I admire George W Bush so much..." or something like that.
I think he said some things he will live to regret, such as quadrupling down on the Ground Zero Mosque, and rambling on about the wonderful benefits of "stimulating" the economy without calling it a "stimulus".
I can't imagine any Democrats becomig energized to vote in November because of that press conference, nor any independents being swayed to his side due to his magnetic persuasion.
