I live near Atlanta, where Neal Boortz’s daily radio show originates. Cain often subs for Boortz, so I have gotten to know Cain’s philosophy that way. I’ve listened to him for hours on end. My deeper point is that it has never been about race, at least for me and all conservatives I know. I’d love to see a true conservative elected, and if he happens to be black, purple, green, or blue—so be it. But you’re right—the Democrats will never concede the point that it is NOT about race. There’s too much to be gained by exploiting the term however they can.

That would be entertaining except for the fact that they would suck all the oxygen out of the room and anyone the Republicans ran would be dull by comparison and would have to fight for media attention.
The end result would be the electorate would think that the only choice they had was between Obummer and The Lesbian.
