I do not give a rat’s ass about the pastor burning korans. I have no respect for islam, nor do I accept the idea that islam is actually a religion. It is a political ideology, like nazism.
That being said, could someone tell why the pastor shouldn’t defer to Petraeus when he advises against the burning? I’m sure a man like Petraeus would not speak about the matter if he did not have the safety of his troops as his concern. Does anyone think that he’s just obeying obozo by denouncing the pastor? Just asking.

Keep in mind that Petraeus is a soldier, and as such has no voice independent of what the Commander in Chief tells him to say. His choices are to parrot the party line, or resign his commission.
