You don't know spin do you.

Haley knows better than to get into the business of scheduling secular interests ahead of the others. You mix them in, but you don't what he just did because that's exactly how it can be interpreted.

Sometime politicians get off their feed and forget why they are in office.

This one reminds me of a faux pas on the other side that's never to be forgotten. Rather than be concerned with what we might do about the 9/11 disaster you had the Planned Parenthood crowd offering FREE ABORTIONS to pregnant women affected by the attack ~ they were doing that on 9/12.

It was not only tasteless, it disatracted from the disaster that was still taking place.

No doubt the pro-abortion crowd is going to go nuts when the idea is mentioned that we need to repeal Obamakkkare to help with economic recovery.

"THE ISSUE" is out there no matter what you do or what happens. That's because the Democrats and their running dog lackeys are evil, vicious and mentally damaged.

I know lies when I see them and your comment was an outright unmitigated lie. Nice to see that you can rationalize your dishonesty sufficiently to assuage your guilty conscience. Not a very good Christian are you, “pro-lifer”?

The Religious Taliban won't be happy but he's right.

You just happen to be on a pro-life, pro-God forum, do you really want to label freerepublic a "Religious Taliban" site?

If you want to win elections then you have to fire up conservatives, that means social conservatives, buy a clue, to quote you.

Obviously tax cuts for the top 2% is more important.

The issue is that, unfortunately, there are a lot of Mike Huckabee types that are conservative on social issues but could care less about limited government.

How many is a lot, can you give the names of a half dozen or more?

The economy will always be an issue. We will never get to the point where economic issues won’t be around, because there will always be thieves and collectivists trying to take the money from the producers. That fight is on going and will never be over.

To say “let’s put the moral issues aside until we’ve dealt with the economic issues” is really to never deal with the moral issues.

We can deal with both at the same time, and those who say we have to sacrifice one to deal with the other are being dishonest.

The divisive issues are social/moral issues.

Of course they are, they are the right/left divide.

Do you have any evidence at all that would indicate Haley Barbour is less than 100% pro-life?

LOL, like telling the pro-life party to drop abortion as an issue?

No thanks...i vote first and foremost pro-life...it tells me all I need to know about the character of the Republican and if he has principles that might just keep him decent in Washington. Pro-choice republicans just become rinos and a huge disappointment. When you do not have a moral backbone and the starting ability to tell right from wrong then you have no business in leadership.

That’s a real shame, Haley had presidential potential. I hope that he and Mitch will enjoy what is left of their political careers as governors. Our more conservative leaning political climate is flushing these RINO’s out into the open where we can all see them for the frauds that they are.

What’s that supposed to mean? Do you have any evidence at all that would indicate Haley Barbour is less than 100% pro-life? His entire life in politics says he’s pro-life.

Well, no matter what he has been in the past...when he comes out today and makes the statement he just did you have to begin to wonder, if you have a lick of common sense, if he has spent to much time in the Washington bubble and whether it has not started to warp his values. Which is the exact reason life long politicians were not what our founders intended for our leadership.

they all suck some KB

hell I like Haley a lot..he is my culture 100% but I know he ain’t culture warrior like me..he’s compromised

and look at Sarah today being all “be nice” about the Moon rock loons

ain’t a damned one of them great really

we just have to choose the best from that

I like Jan Brewer but I’m sure she’s flawed too somehow

I once thought Sarah would never disappoint me...she’s been wrong to me about 7-8 times so far

better than most of my ex girlfriends but she’s working on it

even DeMint has gone soft at times

Jesse Helms died and took all the heart and balls with him...truly.

Principles are principles. I will NOT support candidates who are Pro-Choice. If that means losing an election then that’s what it means. Thats all I was saying.

For example, in my congressional district, there is a huge gay population and an even larger Pro Choice population. The GOP here is deliberately trying to push conservatives into accepting Gay marriage and a pro-choice platform. I am sorry, but I am NOT going to support that.

Spent too much time in DC? He’s been in Mississippi for the past 7 years busy being Governor. We had Katrina hit here, ya know?
