Then they understand. It is not them we fear, is it? It is not America or the soldiers burning a book, no more than it is those Iraqis who take out infadels throughtout the centuries.

War is ugly but it is important to know where you stand. Either for freedom or not. If we are fighting side by side with those who will honor kill over a book it's best to know that now.

Things are complicated enough in Iraq without adding things like this to the mix. Plenty of people are condemning Petraeus. He will have to deal with the fallout.
