I agree. The RATS have a different understanding of the word bi-partisan. To them, it means that Republicans should cave-in to their demands.

They have been winning so far because the Republicans seem to have no back bone! Given the chance - the Rinos are always happy to oblige.

Yeah, I don’t like him as speaker, either. In fact, he gets on my nerves most of the time. I’d support Ryan or Bachmann (maybe Cantor... maybe) over him any day.

He is using the Dems’ playbook against them. What do the Dems do? They lay out a plan on which they will not compromise, then demand the GOP be bipartisan.

He has laid out a specific plan, and has thrown the challenge to the Dems—join us in our bi-partisan effort.

Finally, someone in the GOP is playing political chess instead of checkers.

I am a registered independent voter and I disgree.

Bi-partisan is important as Obama is not capable of even faking it. Obama has divided with race, class, warfare.

I am tired of the left vs right games. I am wary of the GOP but we need a sane adult to take the microphone. Enough is enough with Obama playing attorney and attacking Arizona and doing nothing but passing a nanny ObamaCare, vacationing and golfing and defending terrorists.

Since the Democrats are in the majority at the moment, how exactly do the Republicans pass any bills without some Democrats voting with them?

Maybe you should have read the article, rather than jumping to conclusions. The proposals he made, while not a solution to the problems we face, are two serious and important steps in the right direction.

Step 1: reduce non-security spending back to 2008 levels; and step 2: preserve the Bush tax cuts for another 2 years. In a little more than 2 years, we will hopefully have even more conservatives in Congress and a newly elected conservative president. Then we can see about reducing spending even further and making the tax cuts permanent.
