WASHINGTON -- A federal judge has turned down the Justice Department's request to temporarily delay his order that could shut down federal funding for some stem cell research. U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth on Tuesday turned down federal officials' request for a stay.
Lamberth blocked federal dollars from going to certain stem cell research on grounds the research could violate a law prohibiting use of taxpayer dollars in work that destroys a human embryo.

The difference between the two: Adult Stem Cell Research has proven very successful; Embryonic Stem Cell Research has been a failure and destroys a human embryo.
It is just greasing the pockets of researchers that are loyal to Obama and the Democrats.
And it appears this judge had the courage to give Obama the Middle Finger Salute in this manner...
>> does not mention the almost 100 cures found via Adult Stem Cell Research an
Of course not. They’re agenda is grotesque.
They’re -> Their
Great Judge! He stood up to Clinton 23 of 24 times.
Reagan appointee?
Sure was.
Anyone serious about stem cell research would end this divisive debate over embryonic stem cells and promote research on adult stem cells and stem cells taken from umbilical cord blood. All of the benefit, none of the controversy - so the fact they continue this fight to fund embryonic stem cell research indicates there is another motivation - creating a new industry.
Justice wondering how did Lamberth get this case?
“it is a cash cow” Bing Bing Bing we have a winner - always follow the money! The pharmaceutical industry has alway been a big promoter of embryonic stem cell research and does a lot in that area they are not interested in helping people they are interested in profits!
But there are no profits to be made. That’s why they don’t invest their own money. Embryonic Stem Cell research is OLD technology. It actually started back in 1980. Since then, it has been made obsolete by Adult Stem Cell and Umbilical Cord Research. Why go back to old, failed technology?
And does not mention that embryonic stem cell research preceded adult stem cell research. embryonic is old research, adult stem cell research is the new field, and exploding in its promise, while ESCR languishes in a myriad of deeply serious scientific difficulties.
