Manliness Is Next to Joblessness

tell the story of the Great Mancession of 2007-2010 and how men were disproportionately affected by the recessionary conditions that adversely impacted male-dominated industries (construction and manufacturing), while employment in female-dominated industries actually increased throughout the entire recession. And according to the employment report yesterday, there is still a 2% male-female jobless rate gap of 10.6% for men and 8.6% for women, so the Great Mancession is not yet close to ending.

Bottom Line: Maybe it’s not such a good time to be man, now that men are on the wrong side of the jobless rate gap by 2%, the wrong side of the college degree gap (142 women graduated from college in 2010 for every 100 men) and now even the wrong side of the wage gap.

It's debatable whether or not anyone could control this sort of redirection of jobs by gender. They'd have to shed primarily manufacturing jobs and influence society to have no respect for labor if they were intending to do so, and they'd need an amazing amount of control over and cooperation from the media to make such things acceptable over time.

It does look suspiciously like someone at some point noted how breaking down black families increased dependence on government then worked to do the same across the board. Of course, that would be a conspiracy and conspiracy theories are by and large diversions from reality. So, this must just be some sort of quirk. Right?

We live in a feminized country run by people of both genders who hate men. What did anyone expect?

Interestingly, gay men appear to be mostly employed.

wrecking the male, physical, macho side of our work force could work well for Democrats by cutting the source for many Republican donations

"there is still a 2% male-female jobless rate gap of 10.6% for men and 8.6% for women, ...."

That's actually a 2 percentage point gap in the jobless rate. The percent difference in jobless rates is actually much greater -- 10.6% is 23% greater than 8.6%. IOW, a man is 23% more likely, than a woman, to be unemployed.

There is an article in Time Magazine that shows statistics that single women under age 30 who do not have children have an average 8% higher salary than their male counterparts. Further, women now make up a majority of mid-level managerial positions.

I remember another stat that said in 25% of working married households, the wife now makes more money than the husband. In 1970, that number was only 3%.

So society is radically changing. It will be interesting to see how all this effects the family dynamic. The feminist movement has had a much larger impact on our society than many people want to admit.

GK Chesterton said “Feminism is the mode of thought that hates everything feminine.”
I think he was right.

The economy needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. Or something like that.

It’s as if I wrote this post.. I’ve been screaming about this for years.. Amen, and you are correct. The process is simple. In order for the New World Order to succeed, you need to “kill off” the would-be resistors- The males. The working females will churn out the widgets and do whatever their slave masters desire.. Without a fight. These “working moms” are easily controlled with government promises of “taking care” of their children (Their health care, education, etc.) Manly jobs still need workers you say? Well, our Gov’t ensures open borders to solve that problem. See any white dudes doing construction or landscaping lately? And to those who criticize the theory put forth here, it’s time you look around and accept reality head on. It’s here.

illegals can easily take the blue collar / manual labor jobs... but would have a tough time working in an office.

When will Obama announce new affirmative action regulations giving men preferential treatment in hiring? All government contractors should be required to set goals for hiring more men. WHEN will we see action on this issue of social justice?
