In Support of Westboro Baptist (Nutjobs of a feather...)
Dove World Outreach Center ^ | 21 April 10 | Fran Ingram

Posted on 09/07/2010 7:02:04 PM PDT by Lou Budvis

On Sunday April 18, Westboro Baptist Church came to Gainesville. One of their stops was a liberal "Open doors, open hearts, open minds," church near us, so we took part of our Sunday Service time and went as a church to stand with them.

We have also learned that when you speak out about what God hates, you will be hated. We do not agree with all of Westboro's methods, but we admire their determination to find radical ways to preach the truth of the Bible, as we do. Most churches and Pastors in America try to stand on neutral ground. They are lost, weak and sick and need to repent.

What has the first amendment got to do with Koran burning?

“...saw this man on FNC about an hour ago. He had many good points ie: Freedom of Speech; etc et al.....Let it happen, we are AT WAR FOLKS! Stand up and fight’em!...”

Agreed. Any patriot within reasonable travel distance should consider showing up as armed support. AR-15s, Ak-47s, etc, in public display, and make sure Al Jazeera gets the photo.

That book can be blamed for millions of crimes, don’t forget.

Do you even read what you post? The verse in Acts has nothing to do with Old Testament prophets. Phelps and his band hate Christians, they aren’t preaching Christianity.

Christ came to save the world, not to condemn the world. Now tell me, do you see Phelps and his ilk as preaching the mercy and grace of Christ, or do you see them as the Pharisees ready to condemn anyone who steps outside of their rules?

I can clearly hear the voice of Phelps saying “Who does this Jesus think he is? He eats with publicans and sinners!”

You for letting Obama off the hook?

Don't you mean gallows? No, he should be hanged for treason. Of course, in order to convict him of treason we must first establish that he actually owes us loyalty, that he's actually a citizen...oh, wait, never mind.

Another pretty big issue: people posting in huge fonts.

"...Christ came to save the world, not to condemn the world. Now tell me, do you see Phelps and his ilk as preaching the mercy and grace of Christ, or do you see them as the Pharisees ready to condemn anyone who steps outside of their rules?...."

Let's have a look at some of the loving, tolerant, inclusive words of gentle, meek Jesus:

"Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? 5I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish." Luke 13:1-4

Oh, and let's revisit this:

"....condemn anyone who steps outside of their rules?

'Scuse me? THEIR rules? The prohibition of homosexuality is from God, not Fred Phelps. Deal with it.

Washington’s rules of civility.

One of the rules is that we not antagonize an opponent needlessly.

And what a great photo op that would be for the msm to smear the right two months before an election!

BTW were dinosaurs a trick of the Devil or did cavemen ride them like Fred Flintstone?

It’s not a question of supporting him or not. All the government did was give this guy much more notoriety than if they just kept their mouths shut on this matter.

Frankly, it’s not worth anybody taking notice, especially the Muslims. The fact they do, says a lot more about them, than this stupid church.

Gainesville is getting stranger and stranger. Gainesville, FL has the densest government presence of any town I have ever been to, including DC. With seemingly every state and federal agency having an office there and UF as well as Santa Fe Community College (among the top 2% or so of schools in left orientation) it is a weird place to live. I lived there in the 70s and even then the local perception of reality was totally different from that in Newberry or Archer or Lakeland. People stop you on the street to tell you you shouldn’t be smoking and to order you to put that cigarette out- and carry it to a disposal center. If you have more than one child with you you will be advised by passersby that you are doing horrible things to the planet and need to learn about condoms and abortion.
Mixing them all up with these characters makes for a strange brew. The local communists are wholeheartedly for the Westboro type of protests but loathe “those” people. They want them to protest but don’t want them to stay alive.

So a soldier who dies in combat is going to hell because... America hasn’t condemned homsexuality? Does that make sense to you?

Would lack of citizenship be a valid defense against treason charges?

The Phelps family patriarch was a supporter of Al Gore and I think he was a donor or even a delegate for him... have to check.

For every Koran that is burned Obama will feel a pinprick of anguish and disbelief.

For every Koran that is lost to fire a Muslim will lose one of his promised 72 virgins.

For every Koran that is burned an American that has died by the hands of Islam will have the grace of God shining down upon him/her.

We are defiant and the enemy shows its true self the followers of Satan, there will never be an Islamic world, there is no eventuality that America will be totally Islamic.

And it can start right now by ignoring the supporters of Islam who kneeled before Xerxes for a uniform and sword.

We do this act of defiance for our fallen and for our future. We defy Islam.
