On September 5, 1998, a group of prolifers at Delta Women's Clinic in Baton Rouge prayed for a favor of Mother Teresa that day. It was the first anniversary of Mother Teresa's death.
The last abortion that day was for a woman known in a lawsuit as Denise Doe. Denise is listed on the Silent No More Awareness site as a woman who had the most severe injuries from an abortion (or abortion attempt) and still lived.
Remarkably, her baby survived the abortion.
Because of what happened to Denise Doe, a law passed in 1999 to force sanitary inspections of abortion clinics.
This law was a prelude to the law passed this past summer...
Cool.
To be fair, it also may partly not be. Or not at all. It’s hard to tell for sure.
