This battle goes way beyond the US Congress; we each have a stake in this battle which is a battle of life and death for each of us.

&&
Amen!

There is a difference of opinion between King and leadership. King wants to repeal the whole thing FIRST and then reintroduce medical savings one issue at a time. House Leadership wants to repeal Obamacare and replace it with other provisions at the same time.

Nevertheless, they are both in agreement that Obamacare needs to go.

I will say that I have enough confidence in King that just because he is the one with this strategy, I would go with King.

It could come down to who blinks first, with some Republicans raising the prospect of a government shutdown.

After the R's took control in '94, they decided to flex their muscles on two issues.

The first was Medicare reform, and the second was to force a government shutdown.

Bill Clinton and team absolutely killed the Republicans on both issues, it pretty much resurrected Bill Clinton's political career.

The R's need to plan very, very carefully before they try this (if they try it), or history might well repeat itself.

A full-on, complete repeal should be the FIRST piece of legislation to come out of the House in Jan.

By January even the milquetoast Senate will have enough votes to overcome a filibuster...as MANY surviving dims will realize it's the only shot they have to stand for election in 2012 and beyond.

Now, once the VETO occurs, I gotta believe there's an opportunity for 2/3's in both chambers.

Obama and the "Progressives" will be thoroughly discredited. Remaining dims in the House (beyond the hard-core 100 Progressives) will want to be seen to be "bipartisan"...as will many in the Senate.

I don't think veto is the end of the argument...especially if the GOP hangs tough.

"If the Republicans are in control and they fund it- they're history," he warned.

'nuff said.

Any member of the GOP that allows this monstrosity to be funded...even a single red cent...will be removed from office at the earliest opportunity.

Period.

Didn’t Pelosi and Ried deem the last federal budget passed? Perhaps the Republicans can just deem the next budget passed without having to offer it for Obama’s veto.
Defund Obamacare that way.

Defund it. Don’t blink. Don’t stammer. If it shuts down the government, so be it. Every war has collateral damage.

It won’t take long to break the back of this bunch of clowns in a shut-down.

The pubies need to figure out how to play hardball and put the shoe on the other foot. I doubt they know how to play hardball though.

I can think of a long list of Departments, Agencies and Boards to defund and allow to shrink into oblivion.

I’ll add this... for freshman members of House and Senate... the old guard will fight you, deceive you and manipulate you. Your only weapon is on the steps of the Capital with the public. If you get out there and scream for justice and right daily you will be covered in the some press, you will be heard and you will have power... in fact you may take power from the old guard and K Street.

" I don’t think we have the votes to override a veto"

That's why DE-FUNDING EVERY CZAR and AGENCY that is usurping the Constitution by regulating in lieu of Legislation is SO CRITICAL.

NONE of the Socialist Agenda can be implemented without funding, and INVESTIGATION OF QUID PRO QUO for Unions, etc. should be the bulk of Congress's time spent in the 2010 Congress....trials for Treason, embezzlement, RICO violations, ETHICS investigations, etc. should be the order of the day.

The idea of a "government shutdown" is GREAT; the SAVINGS would be sorely-needed to stem the deficit spending. Limiting the budgets of the CZAR's, and the EPA, FCC, etc. would stop the executive office abuse of the system to destroy private enterprise (except for the favored few who support the Democrats).

Obviously, Obamacare cannot be repealed with a Democrat in the White House.

Defunding is another thing to pursue.

But as for Obama vetoing the law, let him knock himself out on that! The law I have written distills the controversy down to its essence and there is no way that Obama and the Rats could continue — with any credibility — to try to make the discussion about “health care.”

They would have to continually come back to the fact that all the law did was prohibit individual mandates.

Sure, Obama may still veto it, but it would hurt him politically a great deal to do so. That’s because it would make it crystal clear that he is going against the will of the people on a very particular and contentious point.

Interpret this as you like.

*If* it is gotten rid of, it won’t be through peaceful means. These people (R & D alike) don’t fear us nearly enough as they need to.

And how many of those 170 congressmen figure they can promise anything knowing that odds are there will never even be a specific repeal vote on the floor?

Some of these people believe what they are saying about as much as Juan McTraitor believes his own BS regarding border security.

It’s nothing more than Jail House religion.

Moving over to the Senate, Mitch McConnell office has , in so many words, responded to me more than once that Mitch (i.e. Harry’s Bitch) won’t enter a fight that he isn’t sure he can win. How’s that for principles?

Win 112 seats and you are there.

40 vote fillibuster in the senate saves Obamas veto pen.
