Did the patrons of the cafe have the right to not be offended by her publicly breastfeeding?

No, but the cafe owner had the right to tell her to cover it up or leave ....private property and all that silly stuff....She can whip them out all day at the town hall for all I care - see what happens then I guess....

I would agree with that ... but the rights of private property owners to set their own rules is long gone ... see anti-smoking laws.
