Some people just cant let go and Dan Rather is a case in point. Almost six years after he questioned George Bushs National Guard service Rather is still defending the report that led to his eventual departure from the network.Fake - but accurate!!
Thre of the stupidest words ever uttered by someone alledgedly so smart!!
(Of course, ALL lieberals are smart - they just have trouble letting the rest of us see it!!)

Anyone with at least a 4th grade education, would know that for certain members of the Guard, the 2 days a month are not always the same each month. Pilots may be called on to ferry aircraft, for instance. With the Guards approval, they may not necessarily attend formations every 30 days. They used tells us, ‘’the needs of the service come first’’ not your wishes. Anyone but a newscaster with a turd in crossways would understand this.

Dan Rather is the epitome of American “journalism” in the Decadent Period.

. . . it was this story that brought me to the FreeRepublic ,, after learning how Jim Robinson had outed the military documents as forgeries composed on a word processor and not the typical IBM typewriters used by the military at the time . Again I wish to thank Dan Rather and especially Jim Robinson for getting me here .

Rather, of course, famously parted ways with CBS after a story about Former President George W. Bushs service in the National Guard was found to be based on faulty documents. Rather sued CBS over his ouster, and most of the charges have since been dismissed.
To tell you the truth, I never did like Dan Rather. In his younger days, he looked more the used car salesman than his nemesis, Nixon. His reporting always seemed to be filled with fury and distortions; he wanted us to think as told by him, not our own common sense.

Dan should realize that at this point, nobody cares.
Obama’s reign of terror concerning the U.S. economy and Big Brother government has made Dan Rather...rather obsolete and irrelevant.
