I know about the automatic’s “pull” tendency; which is why I was suggesting the PS-90, the semi-auto/’civilian’ model, it has a good reflexive sight and a 50-round magazine. That *should* be enough to deal with a gang of 20, even assuming that it takes 2 hots to put them out-of-action (which is really overestimating their toughness and/or underestimating the rifleman’s accuracy).
