JERUSALEM – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly has proposed a new plan whereby Jews living in the West Bank will remain in their communities after the territory becomes part of a Palestinian state, WND has learned.
Officials in both Israel and the Palestinian Authority have confirmed the plan to this reporter, marking the first time an Israeli leader has ever put on the table in a serious way a proposal involving Jewish West Bank residents remaining in a Palestinian state.
Conventional negotiations always has assumed an Israeli evacuation of its communities inside any territory taken over by the PA.

They are proposing to keep many settlements as part of Israel, and compensate the Palestinians by giving them other land. That’s been discussed for quite a long time.
If this happens and they want to leave, the govt of Israel should pay for the move. Either way it would be another victory for Islam.

It’s folks who truly believe Obama is constitutionally qualified to be President who deserve to be called freaks. Or perhaps Obama-is-a-natural-born-American-ism is a religion like Global Warming.
Personally I have confidence in Bibi Netanyahu. I’m sure he regrets much more than I do that he can’t get the job done in Iran. Fate has given him lemons, and he’s doing his best to make lemonade.

If anyone gives up land, it should be Jordan. Israel won the West Bank land in a defensive war and then settled it. The settlements are Israel proper.
My memory is also long enough to remember how he caved at Wye River with Clinton. How Jonathan Pollard is still rotting in prison because of it.
Ultimately, I believe they won't do this, because the Arabs themselves won't have it. They want Judea and Samaria Judenrein. Nobody ever believed that Sharon would abandon the Jews in Gaza. Tough talker. Tough guy. He caved.

Sharon didn’t abandon the Jews in Gaza. He forced them to evacuate. He was sold by Ehud Olmert on the idea that Israel had to be demographically Jewish, so it was necessary to separate the million Arabs in Gaza from Israel. Right or wrong, it was his his government’s initiative and he didn’t cave to any external pressure.
Now you are accusing Bibi of NOT forcing Jews to evacuate settlements. It seems that whatever the Israeli PM does it won’t please you.
Dunno. Ehud Barak and Bibi are theoretically very smart, and it shows from time to time. But what they’ve having been telling lately borders on record world class moronship. It’s way beyond naive thinking that the stone age savages scheduled to govern a palestinian state will allow any Jew to live there.
The Israelis aren’t stupid. There is a method to their madness. We just don’t see it yet.
I’m sure all matter of crazy ideas are getting tossed around, because there is no physical way to divide Jews, and Arabs into entirely separate segregated countries the way the Palestinians want it.
If this is real, I’d bet this is supposed to be a fake out so the Palestinians refuse to keep Jews under their jurisdiction. He’s going to try and create situations where it looks like Israel is offering something, and the Palestinians will do what they do, refuse. That game really worked out lovely with Oslo, or Hebron, or Gaza, didn’t it?
Israelis must turn hardliners and resist compromise, if they want genuine peace.
The West Bank has ALWAYS been part of the plan for a palestinian state. Bibi’s just wanting those Jews who are already there to be able to stay there. Why any would is beyond me.
Imagine if any Jews stuck around in Gaza after it was turned over.
I am accusing him of abandoning the Jews he promised to protect. Just like Sharon did.
