Just got a more detailed message from him. His weapon was also lost. He was outside the squad tent about 10pm. First mortar (not RPG) landed and he ran into the tent waking everyone. He ran out the back of the tent just as another landed in the front of the tent when it exploded and set everything on fire. No American casualties. Some Iraqi soldiers tried to defuse one of the total of 14 launched mortar rounds which did not expose but it exploded in their faces. Casualties unknown for them.
