She's "right" on all the issues and yet, she has a lot of significant personal issues that cannot be explained away as unfair attacks by Castle and the RNC. I'm generally included to support someone like O'Donnell but she sounds like a grifter—no real job, no income, using campaign cash to pay her rent. She says the right things but has accomplished nothing. Conservatism has its share of lightweight losers and O'Donnell is one. She has to explain those personal issues in a credible way. Otherwise, if I were in Delaware I'd vote Castle even though I think he's way to squishy on a number of important issues.

Castle has been a career politician...I’ll take the lady with “no real job” over him anyday.

Castle has even more personal issues to explain. For example he has ropes tied onto his hands and feet, and a big one through a hole in his head to his jaw, and Dupont and Credit Card Company interests are pulling on them.

He's built up a $3 million fortune over the years with NO REAL JOB.

Let me suggest that Castle owes an explanation first.

Not only is Castle a corrupt leftist well to the left of many Democrats, the party pros in Delaware who are pushing him are just as bad, and regularly work with the Democrats to get their share of pork.

That needs to be cleaned up. Castle must be defeated. Why listen to the lies that Castle has been spending big bucks to smear all over O’Donnell? Apparently the Republican smearmeister propaganda plan isn’t working, since she has been steadily gaining on both Castle and the Democrat candidate in recent polls.

The problem with Castle is not that he’s a RINO, but that he appears to be a Lincoln Chaffee RINO - which means that he is so far off the reservation, that his voting record is only slightly more conservative than an average Democrat. If you look at many of my earlier posts, I have ALWAYS defended Snowe and Collins (of Maine), even though they are pro-choice and often go against the conservatives. The difference is that those women still voted to put Roberts (and others) on the Court and have been with us on almost all key votes - definitely not true with Chaffee.

From what I can see regarding Castle, he WILL NEVER be there for us, and therefore we might as well roll the dice with Christine...and in any case, all she has to do to win in November is make sure her election is a referendum on Obama, and not her - and Obama is making that VERY EASY to do.

She has:

But Castle doesn’t mind putting out wrong information in his spots! He knows it is BS but he is running scared.

Castle started on Government payroll one year out of college - he has not missed a public payroll since! (and he is now 71)

I'd vote for a conservative over Castle no matter what their background. They could be a hobo, grifter, bitch, mean to employees, bad housekeeper, bankrupt 3 times, whatever, I don't care. I wouldn't vote for Castle, or McCain, or Graham, or any of the progressive wing of the Republican party, especially in a primary where a conservative is running.

I went to her website and it shows that she's had a number of jobs. Maybe you could explain what you are talking about.

Ok Opinionated, let's begin: You are concerned about significant personal issues. I think that the majority of Delaware residents are not buying this. She struggled to pay off her college loans and she missed some mortgage payments? Unlike Mike Castle, who in his FORTY YEARS as a public servant has accumulated an $8 million net worth, Christine came from a blue collar family and has struggled. People in DE are pissed about this. The millionaire Castle is attacking someone they can relate to for struggling in the economy that Castle is responsible for. The crap about her campaign HQ is crap. If she violated any laws, she would be in jail. You also complain the she has accomplished nothing. Ok. What has Mike Castle accomplished? Only the destruction of of country and our children's future. At this point, given the anti-incumbent wave of 2010, most Delaware voters would choose Alvin Greene over Castle. I would too.

Christine is a true conservative. I have met her as well as Mike Castle on many occasions. Mike Castle's career is in a death spiral and that is a good thing for this country. Delaware republicans have the choice as to when he dies. If they elect Christine on 9/14, the GOP still has a chance for a senate pick-up in this state. More importantly, they have a chance to send a real conservative to DC.

Perhaps Castle all of the rest of the 'ruling class' can explain in a 'credible way' how they get so rich during and after being in office.

Throw out the ruling class. They are destroying my country!

...O'Donnell...sounds like a grifter...

You must have a higher opinion of politicians than I do. In my opinion, her being a grifter doesn't disqualify her for the Senate. Maybe that would help her become an honorary member of the Congressional Black Caucus. Staff will help her cast the right vote. Biden did it...how hard can it be?

Besides...The Senate has already set the bar unimaginably low....

I agree with you. Recently, I heard her deny that she has IRS problems or that a lien existed, but the lien against her is online. Also, she described her degree problem as due solely to financial difficulties, but when she finally earned her degree the other day, her campaign indicated that she had finished her coursework this summer--not years ago as she has claimed.

This kind of thing may not bother Mark Levin and her supporters here as much as Castle's record does, but I suspect it will not sit well with a lot of voters.

Unless we succeed in de-programming the country from the cult of liberalism and drag along Delaware, Sen. Christine, if elected, will likely be a 1 term senator. Whether or not she's a flake. She is too far to the right of the mean to get re-elected with the state's current mind set. Only the crisis that's Obama gives her a chance now. Yet Castle would be 80 when up for re-election and thus far from a lock for re-election. Castle isn't flaky but will often vote like Franken. So what's the downside of electing Christine, even if she is a flake (which isn't certain), so long as she votes like OUR flake. As THEY say, never let a good crisis go to waste!

This election isn't really about defeating Obama; it is about BLOCKING Obama and defeating RHINO control of the GOP. We mathematically can't reach 2/3 of the Senate and I seriously doubt we'll reach of the House. We can't override vetoes nor impeach Obama and Biden, so we can't defeat him this year. Blocking him from doing further harm and fixing the damaged GOP brand in preparation for the real battle of 2012 must be today's goal.
