Dick Blumenthal released an ad about his role as CT AG in protecting Long Island Sound by stopping a pipeline and natural gas terminal.
But not to worry, if elected he will stand up to Big Oil and will stop all future deep water drilling, end tax "giveaways" to "big energy" and in the process somehow create clean energy jobs.

This is yet another Blumenthal who tells lies ~ you just know he’s not going to give up his gas stove, his electric lights or his winter fuel oil delivery.
(Of course, he did nothing to prevent kids from accessing pornography, including in public schools where the state acts in loco parentis , but for some reason the Democrats don't like to talk about that.)
i would say it will be fun to watch these nutjobs get their way and freeze their constituency to death some winter...
but i heat my a$$ with that gas too.
Create clean energy jobs - What liberals call “clean energy” is wasteful pie in the sky pixie dust. Are we to rely solely on wind power - a source that is extremely variable? Or how about solar power? Not available 24/7, and still variable. The real story is the elites want the worker bees in dimly lit, cold in the winter and hot in the summer Soviet Union style (or would it be Norkland) apartment blocks, or maybe even dormitories like the Mainland Chinese sweatshops, while they are isolated from the masses, since they are so much better than the masses.
That natural gas terminal would have saved CT residents hundreds per year on their gas bills.
Please. That oily reptile is only interested in protecting and gaining power for himself.
They also forget that “dirty energy” or what every you want to call it is burning/consuming something (wood, coal, gas, oil or nuclear) to produce other forms of energy that can be converted be used to run generators to produce electricity. Using that logic, solar or wind is “dirty” because wind, light, and every “clean” energy source is based on a giant nuclear reaction, the Sun.
