ummmm, anyone want to rationalize this?
He doesn’t want to see his troops put in unnecessary danger. It’s pretty rational.
increases the likelihood of someone going bonkers and shooting at our troops - - > rationalized
Nope, not me! I think he’s saying we should all cower and be cowed by Muslims’ demands against our freedoms because we have troops in their neighborhoods. I also think he’s misguided.
I had a high dollar ‘Vegas hooker tell me: “Most men, (referring the US Military - 0-4 and above), will cheerfully give up their balls for another star”
Freedom of speech? Like the right to build a victory mosque at Ground Zero.
His job is to protect his troops. It’s perfectly rational. Remember the Danish cartoon’s aftermath? He will be dealing with that for his men. As good as the Koran burning may feel to those who participate, the men in the field will suffer.
I think this is something the General should stay out of. It seems to me that a high ranking member of the military is trying to interfere with the 1st amendment rights of a civilian.
The military and civilian worlds should be kept strictly apart.
No thanks! The rationality of political correctness is to shut people up and defeat their POV. PC should be considered anathema to the American mindset.
