The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
Thank you, patty.

CSPAN is very difficult to search .. GRRRRRrrrrr
This is a blurb from the State Dept about Hillary’s attendance and participation in global health issues.

Info from the Bush Center about this summit

Hillary just can’t get the hair thing right....
You’re very welcome.
CSPAN only aired the portion of Condi Rice’s speech with GWB’s intro. They didn’t cover the entire summit so you didn’t get to see everything.
LOL! Someday needs to tell Hillary that flipped hairstyle is soo yesterday!
GWB with Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, reality TV star La La Vasquez, & Carmelo Anthony

Model Karolina Kurkova, President Bush, & Howard Lutnick
Thanks for the AWESOME photos, patty! You are a gem! :)
Looks like she just came out of the pool! At 64 or 5 you'd think she'd figure out what looks best on her....
Thanks for these great photos, patty. Just thought people should know (in case they don’t recognize him) that actor Richard Thomas is in the photo you captioned, “Model Karolina Kurkova, President Bush, & Howard Lutnick.” Richard Thomas played the character John-Boy in the old series “The Waltons.” :)
pattyvita, thank you, so very much, for these awesome pictures. Isn’t is something to see the all people around President Bush smiling and seems like they want to shake his hand or just be near him (i’d go for a huge hug..of course, Secret Service may not be too happy with me...lol). The media would have us believe that President Bush is disliked....NOT! He is LOVED and great admired and respected for his integrity, strength, good moral values and, especially, for his love of America, her citizens and our great military and their families.
Sorry for rambling....just makes me sooo happy to see ‘W’!
See my above post. I knew. ;)
Aaah .. those are great. Thanks for finding them.
Cantor Fitz lost something like 650+ people .. simply
stunning and tragic. And they’ve been incredible in their
care and financial support of the families of the murdered.
I think 25% of their revenue goes into trust for those
dear folks. Amazing conscience and compassion.
Thanks sooo much for the pics, pattyvita!!!! —I’m sooo glad that Mr. Voight got a chance to spend time with W - two Patriots!
I honestly did not know who he was until you both mentioned his name. I found the photos from a blog site and I just copied the names of the people standing next to GW. Richard Thomas’ name was not ever mentioned. Thanks for your helpful input!:)
My pleasure. Glad you all enjoy the photos a lot. The notion that President Bush is hated by the general public is utter nonsense. Look at how many people want to have a picture taken or even spend a moment with him. They may not like some of his policies but they like him as a person. He just has an aura and charm about him that is irresistible.
Well said!
All right, some new updates on President Bush. He was in Hershey, PA last light to speak at Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry and gave his insights on the Middle East uprisings, the economy, the Flight 93 memorial and the 2012 election.

“Bush mulls over presidency, present”
By Tracie Mauriello, Post-Gazette Washington Bureau
GWB on the 2012 election:
He did offer some advice for whoever wins the 2012 presidency: “Man, you better be prepared to bring a set of principles that won’t change because you’re going to have to make some tough decisions,” and “You can influence people, so it matters how you behave and it matters how you conduct yourself.”
