The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
That’s one of those “worth a thousand words” pictures.
Amen, NordP! That is probably the best picture I have ever seen of BHO-—looking UP to GWB.
So true, jonny.
Yup, I hear ya!
Total agreement with you guys. Obama was probably insanely jealous and steaming mad that he didn’t get the cheers and applause he thought he was going to get. So take that O! :)
Former President George Bush coin toss
This was taken from the NBC broadcast. Image quality not so great though
President Bush coin toss @ Jets Cowboys game
Another video recorded by a fan sitting from the stands. Better image and sound quality
President Bush tosses the coin at the Jets vs. Cowboys game in New York on September 11, 2011.
President and Mrs. Bush walked the field with Bob Beckwith, Arlene Howard, and the families of a Port Authority officer, a New York police officer, and a New York firefighter who perished on September 11, 2001.
Thanks, Patty .. there’s another I found with some minor, distant booing to be heard in the background, but the overwhelming exuberant cheers from the enthusiastic crowd are thrilling to hear .. and yes, it’s just like that World Series game where he threw out the first pitch after 9/11. Most appreciate him and dearly miss his leadership. Great pics!!!

I’ll never get tired of watching that World Series event.

I haven't read everything but has anyone mentioned that yesterday Rush said he wouldn't be surprised if someone suggested the George W Bush be added to Mt. Rushmore? Furthermore, Rush said he'd be all for it!
Now that's a glowing recommendation if ever I've heard one!
Trust us---you want to read this!
that is a magnificent article.. thank you. Will be posting in at my political area on Facebook
(for any who have not looked at it yet, don’t go there unless you can block out some time. It is long & as stated...well, worth the read
Glad you enjoyed it, Dolly! It is well worth reposting elsewhere!
OMG, I was thrilled to hear the cheers for President Bush at the Jets game last night. It was awesome. LOL What are those polls saying???? Phhhhwwwwwfftttt
PUHLLLEEEAAAASSSEEE. They recognize a great leader when they seem him.
Thanks for those wonderful GWB World Series links, particularly the “behind the scenes” one.
Same here. I think of other politicians (like Obama and Kerry) who can't even get the ball over the plate on a peaceful sunny day, and W threw that pitch precisely while wearing a bulletproof vest; the eyes of the whole world watching him.
Yes. It’s one of those once in a lifetime iconic moments that can never be recreated or copied again. This was vintage George W. Bush at his best.
Love this! What a nice, normal and happy family!
