The month of September 2005 was a very busy month for President Bush after Katrina came on land at the Gulf coast and damaged the area. We see President Bush and First Lady Laura visiting New Orleans and other affected areas in Louisiana and Mississippi to comfort the victims of the hurricane and bring aid
The country lost Chief Justice William Renquist who passed away on September 3, 2005
President Bush nominated Judge Roberts to become the next Chief Supreme Court Justice. On September 29th Justice Roberts was sworn in as the 20th? Supreme Court Chief Justice.
President Bush remembered 9/11 heroes at a Medal of Valor ceremony. He also met with several foreign leaders and addressed the Useless Nations
For the quote of the month I have chosen President Bushs Remarks which he gave at the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance Service on September 16, 2005
I’m so sorry to read that! I’ll pray for healing and many other blessings for you and your family. Also, I pray for our country. Take care and God bless!

Thank You Dear FRiend.

Thanks Kaslin. Terrific screenshots. Love, love the speech President Bush gave today. It was heartfelt and emotional and spoke from the heart. No one should question his sincerity or love for his country, ever.

Thank you very much. I will always be happy that I stood in line to shake the hands of Pres. and Mrs. Bush back in 2000 when they visited my area.
Was Mrs. Todd Beamer there?
I came across this photo today when I was saving a few of GWB's. Seemed appropriate to share today again:
GREAT pictures, patty. It is so wonderful to see him (and Laura, of course!). I would think that having GWB and Laura there brought great comfort to the families. I hope so.
A time well remembered when adults were in charge and knew what to do......
Thanks Kaslin, and others, who have us all missing our Pres. and First Lady....
Thank you so much for posting these valuable photos.
Thanks for posting these pictures.
Thanks for posting. It was a great speech. You can just tell from listening to him speak about the events of 9/11 how deeply moved he is. He will never forget. Thank God for him being President on that day.
I watched both ceremonies today..mostly to assure myself that there were still grownups like W and Laura to inspire the country. Thanks for the pings.
Thanks so much pattyvita for posting. I noticed the looks on GWB and Rumsfeld’s faces while they paid their respects. They seemed to beseech God to have mercy on the souls of those who perished there, and to keep blessing our country. It was so moving.
You know, I’m not sure. I haven’t heard any reports that she was there.
You’re all very welcome. This was a president who dealt with such a life-changing crisis and he got slammed for making decisions that weren’t always popular. It’s gratifying to see more and more people are starting to understand how much he had to do to protect this country from harm even if it meant sacrificing his popularity.
Great photos. I just took screen print from the Fox News videos
I have not seen the top photo either before today. Actually there are many photos I have never seen
