Have to share my Florida Christmas Package arrived today and in it was Bushes “Decision Points”.... at last it has arrived! Am so excited! Finally I can read it after being teased for weeks and weeks!
We are so very blessed are we not STARWISE?
Lovely post....
Attitude of gratitude!
Thank you for the links, dmd25! So far we have 2 copies of Decision Points. I miss our White House Christmas card with Barney and Mrs. Beasley, but I really miss George Bush and Laura in the White House! They more than deserve the life they have now after so many honorable years of dedication. They certainly look very, very happy in all the photos we’re seeing of them now.
Fox was reporting that there was an “incident” in front of the President’s home. He and Lady Laura were home, but not hurt. They said the Secret Service and Dallas police “took care of it”. It scares me that their protection will run out in about 8 years, if I remember correctly.
HolyMoly .. that is scary. Lord, protect them,
thank God for the SS. And you’re right, but you
can bet they’ll have private security after that
for the rest of their lives.

Man reportedly drives car into yard of George W. Bush’s Dallas home
###
Police and fire units were called to the Dallas home of former President George W. Bush on Wednesday evening after getting a report of a man driving his car into the family’s yard.
The report came in around 8:30 p.m.
Officials on the scene requested an ambulance for the driver. An early report from KTVT-TV (Channel 11) indicated that the motorist was en route to visit friends in Bush’s Preston Hollow neighborhood when he lost control of his car.

Person held near Dallas home of former President George W. Bush
###
Authorities detained a person near the home of former President George W. Bush on Wednesday night after an incident in his Dallas-area neighborhood, a U.S. Secret Service spokesman said.
The person who was detained was coming to visit a neighbor of the former president, according to Ed Donovan of the Secret Service. The person was authorized to come onto the street, Donovan said.

The suspect, accused of driving a muscle car ‘erratically’ onto the lawn, was being questioned by the Secret Service.
The former president and former first lady live in a home in the suburban gated community.
The male suspect had not made any threats, and officials do not believe he intended to harm the couple.
Officials told a local TV station that the suspect went to a friend’s house in the Bush neighborhood to show off his Plymouth Barracuda.
The man allegedly told investigators he ran onto the Bushes’ yard when his gas pedal became stuck.
Very scary that someone can get that close to the president’s
home. I HOPE that it was just an unfortunate accident and
very glad that no one was injured!
My pleasure .. and you are right.
Peaceful Christmas to you and yours.
Beautiful Christmas message, dearest STAR, and thank goodness it really was an accident by the man legitimately in President Bush’s neighborhood to see a friend.
Yes, ma’am!
God bless us all.
“...you can bet theyll have private security after that
for the rest of their lives.”
Yes, I’m sure they will have private security. It just galls me, though, that Clinton (who signed that law), Hillary, Chelsea, Al Gore, his family, and who knows who else, will get Secret Security protection for years/life at our expense. Yet, George Bush has to pay for his. Don’t remember when, or IF, the Clinton administration’s SS protection runs out.
It’s not funny really, but “Officials on the scene requested an ambulance for the driver”. Yes, I can imagine he needed an ambulance. I would have had a heart attack if all that fire power was aimed at me! I imagine there was some rough and tumble too. He’s lucky they didn’t shoot first and ask questions later. Good training on the law enforcement’s part.
MY first thought was, oh great, now the bad guys will have lots of footage of the front of his house; but I saw only footage in the dark—unable to make much of the visuals, thank GOODness!
People are buying his book in great numbers because the majority of Americans are good people and recognize THE President as a great leader and a good man.
My husband bought the book for his mother, and I'm betting that a lot of those books are Christmas gifts for family members who know quality when they see it and want the TRUE history of the Bush administration to be known far and wide.
And Wolfstar, YES to the Nobel Peace Prize in a fair world. A free Iraq in the center of the ME gives a stability that it hasn't seen before.
God BLESS President Bush for what he did for this great country and for the world!
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!
Thank you .. same to you and yours .. ;)
