it is likely the one could be irresponsible enough to consider a carteresq hostage rescue type scam regarding the iranian nuclear issue before november.

the difference between carter and the one however will be that carter actually hoped for success, while the one will intend failure as a further demonstration of futility.

the scenario is unlikely; the timing between the demonstrated willingness to project power and the disastrous result from planned failure will have to be centered on 02nov10.

it is more likely that the one sees the danger posed to the world from nuclear iran is more favorable to his interests than a mere election.

“Something big and unexpected can always drop from the skies” Does this mean Obama will Nuke Iran?

No, the Republican Party isn't being put into power because everyone loves it, they are being put into power because the Democrat Party has to be defeated.

The problem is the GOP keeps backing candidates with no conservative principles.

When a candidate is pro abortion, pro big government, pro open borders and pro welfare entitlement programs the fact that they have the "R" next to their name rather than a "D" makes no difference.

Conservative voters, including many on FR, foolishly allowed the MSM to give us McCain during the last presidential run. We need to starve the GOP fat cats and donate directly to candidates.

If the bitchers choir of Democrat propaganda bots in the "Conservative" party continues to spend all their time whining that the GOP isn't perfect instead of getting off their asses this one time and help defeat the Progressive political machine, the Dems probably will hold the Congress.

Thank you, Johnnie, for that piss poor attempt at a strawman attack. Show me where I've ever expressed that the GOP's problem is that it's not "Perfect." I don't expect the GOP to be perfect; I expect the GOP to stand for conservative values.

You're comment about with fighting the "Progressive Political Machine," is pathetic. The problem with the GOP is that it's part your big scary "Progressive Political Machine!"

The Republican Branch of the Progressives gave us Michael Steele as our party chairman. Johnnie, perhaps Michael Steele is your hero and role model; maybe you wear Michael Steele pajamas and kiss his picture every night. Unfortunately Steele has spent the last several years backing every RINO and undermining every conservative in State and Federal elections. When we complained about it, Steele played the race card and claimed that white people were scared of him. There's little difference between Michael Steele and Howard Dean, they both are trying to place Liberal Globalists in power. So please get beyond your school girl crush and RINO fantasies.

Let's not forget how Republicans, including many FReepers, were complicit in the MSM's manipulation of the GOPs choice of presidential candidate. "We got to go with McCain, he's the only one getting exposure!"

I'll keep holding my nose and voting for the best of the worst. While I'm at it, I'll donate directly to conservatives and starve the GOP. However, this time we cannot let the MSM give us any more "Maverwick McCains!"

"Reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated," House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson told reporters on a conference call Thursday, scoffing at a growing chorus of warnings the party could lose the US Congress.

At least Carter was an ex-military man, and had some familiarity with the use of deadly force in combat situations.

Obama is nothing more than a street hustling rabble-rouser, who has no earthly connection to anything military. It's highly doubtful that he's even got the confront to sit with his military brass and discuss a military strike of any kind. He'd sit there like a deer, frozen in the headlights - needing a teleprompter to even operate his mouth.

He is so utterly incompetent, and such a fraudulent coward, that there's little chance of him ordering an attack against anyone, in my opinion.

If some military strike were ordered from on high, it would be done because Obama slipped a note under Rahm or Axelrod's door, and asked them to take care of it. He doesn't have the balls to even look our Generals in the eye.

Not a single Democrat/Republican should be returned to Congress who voted for the Stimulus or Health Care. They have violated their oath to protect and defend the citizens of this country and put future generations at risk due to their spending and neglect for the security of this nation.

Repeal the Health care, reduce federal spending by 20% or more and secure the borders. Serving in Congress was never meant to be a career therefore all retirement plans for members of Congress should be eliminated and term limits imposed at two terms. Taxes should be reduced across the board

The American people are the most creative and productive people the world has ever seen. The is no other nation that welcomes the worlds poor and provides those who come with the freedom to achieve their dreams.
