I am sad to offer that I think there is but one even that will ever return us to a small government of the original Constitution with restriction of the activities thereof to the limited enumerated powers.
There are just too many tempting baubles for the political and ruling class that they would have to make themselves give up. They aren’t going to do that willingly. Most of these people wouldn’t have a pot to pee in or a window to throw it out of if they were not politicians.

I’ve been saying that all along. As long as there are no consequences for the treasonous self serving bastards, why should they stop doing what they are doing?
