AP Interview: Author Leaving Home Next To Palins [Joe McGinniss]
AP via Yahoo ^ | 09/04/10 | DAN JOLING

"It's just a peculiar thing, but she does, as I found out in May, she presses a button and what comes back is hate," he said. "The people who respond when she complains about something are just so filled with hate. I got some of the ugliest, most vile e-mails directed at me, my grandchildren, my children, my wife — just ugly, ugly stuff."

As for his interviews, most people he approached in Palin's hometown were willing to speak, but he said there was what he calls an "undercurrent of fear."

"People — I don't know if they're afraid of shadows or whether there's something real there — she's no longer in a position of governmental influence but there are people up there who are scared to death to talk because if Sarah ever found out they talked, oh, something terrible would happen to them," he said.

As soon as this creep is gone tomorrow, Todd should buy the rental house and then raze it to the ground, once and for all.

There was no “button” pushed. Just good people coming to the defense of a good person. Something I feel certain Mr. McGinniss has rarely (if ever) experienced.

This guy is a loon.

As far as "ugliest, most vile e-mails directed at me, my grandchildren, my children, my wife" and I'm sure Ann Coulter or Michelle Malkin could sympathize. NOT! I suppose they'd look at those emails and laugh at what he thinks is ugly and vile and then show him rape threats, and death threats and stalkers that are really ugly and vile, and serious.

I suspect JimRob could teach him a thing or two about how to handle ugly & vile emails. Or maybe he could talk to Don Adams and get him to show some of the scars he has from a meeting with the sensitive people who share the same worldview as McGinness.

I wonder if McGinness ever got a phone call from the IRS after publicly expressing a political opinion. I have. Christine O'Donnell sure did. I suspect a number of Freepers have.

McGinness is a disgrace as a man, as an American, even as a liberal which is a rather remarkable accomplishment.

Everyone he talked to was will to talk, but there was an undercurrent of fear. That statement was repeated 3 times in the article, but never what they said.

I'll wager that he talked to the exact same people that VF's Gross talked to, namely the Alaska "blogger" anklebiting crowd.

"Shannyn Moore effectively admits that she's the one who steered Gross toward numerous sources..."

Agreed. They need the space for security purposes, if nothing else.

Kind of like Mark David Chapman waiting outside the Dakota saying:

“Gee,I guess I ain’t gonna get a SHOT at fame after all.”

So Joe is going elsewhere then to write HIS 27th Chapter to CITR.

The dangerous ass.

FTA:

"They started bringing me blueberry pie. I had many offers of handguns to borrow. I turned them all down. But for about two weeks there, I couldn't say hello to somebody without, they said, 'I've got a couple of guns for you in my truck.'"

I think he misunderstood the nature of the offer.

Was thinking that FOX should buy it and allow Hannity, Beck, Rush etc use it as a vacation home when Palin is not using it to broadcast from. (It will come in handy as a NORTHERN WH.)

The “Author’s” comments lead me to imagine a freak panty-waste under orders to write the “scathing truth” about Governor Palin and her family. Another futile effort to destroy her. But the consolation is the 300 or so who will actually read his book are not going to vote for the Governor anyway LOL!

Typical JournoLister Fifth Columnist!

Couldn’t find anything legitimate to attack her or her family with, so he falls back to the usual MSM smears and slander of innuendo, insinuation, and his “sensed” fear in his “unnamed sources”.

He could just “feel” it, with his highly attuned JournoLister acumen...So therefore, we must all accept it as fact!

Yeah, and the absence of verifiable criminal dirt...

He left because he didn't have enough material for a book.

No murders, no ugly divorces, no criminal partners, no drug running, no tax evasion.

It's hard to write an epic biography when the only witnesses are disgruntled democrats with uninteresting or unsubstantiated "facts."
