Charlie Rangel probe has Palm Beach connection

More proof that Palm Beach is the center of the media universe.
The businessman at the center of the Charlie Rangel flap is Eugene Isenberg, a generous supporter of local arts charities and a resident of wait for it Breakers Row.
Isenberg, who pledged $1 million to the CCNY school to be named for Rangel, met with Rangel more than a year later to discuss a tax break that Rangel, the chairman of the House Ways and Means committee, opposed.
The tax break, which was a boon for Isenbergs company, Nabors Industries, passed.
Rangels critics are crying foul, pointing out that the bill passed just 11 days after Isenbergs $100,000 installment on the pledge cleared the bank.
Supporters, however, say that the tax break issue came up far too long after the original pledge to be anything but coincidence.
Anyway, theres the equation again: Big News Story factored by Big Money equals Palm Beach.

When will you ever learn?
Got the Rangel blues?
Here’s the cure:

Cannot recall what one of our former politicians uttered these on the money words: Money talks, BS walks.
There you have it, in a nut shell. We have the best government money can buy.
We’ve given extreme wealth the right to own our government / politicians just for their pocket change. It could be ended tomorrow as well as all of this corruption by simply putting on trial and executing both the pols and the bribers the first time they were proven guilty of involvement in corrupting government. Real accountability works when it is prompt and decisive. I favor it.
Think it will ever happen? It will only get worse. When the people get fed up enough things will change and money and political power won’t buy relief.
We need to eliminate entirely the possibility of influence buying.
Oops can’t stand Charlie Rangel but thought this was a current thread.
