Ah, the start of Labor Day weekend. Wouldn't it be nice if tomorrow's monthly employment report was good enough to honor its namesake holiday!
This is the point where I usually have the nerve to make a prediction on whether or not the numbers will live up to the expectations of the experts, who believe tomorrow's figure will show that 120,000 jobs were lost in August.
If that's the number, it would be only slightly better than the 131,000 jobs that disappeared in July. I'm not going out on a limb this time.
I don't want to ruin my good record on a guess when there are too many factors affecting the figure.
First, there will be the windup of Census 2010, which over the past six months has repeatedly hired, fired and rehired hundreds of thousands of workers in a move that could have put the employment picture severely out of focus.
Census says that around 116,000 of its workers will be among those who lost jobs in August.
So, when you take out the effect of the Census firings, the rest of the economy will have to had come close to gaining jobs for the August headline figure to meet expectations of just a 120,000 loss.

Whatever the result is it will be “unexpected.” The prognosticators have not even had the “blind squirrel finding nuts” result; their models are poor and mislead them apparently.

Obama never intended to 'deliver.' Obama intended to redistribute wealth. Its Obama's 'real' agenda. Look at the huge bills, health care, the financial bill and the stimulus package. All are filled with mandates and quotas to support special interest groups. Take a look at where our tax money is going. Its going to specific groups and agencies where there is no return, not one dollar coming back. None of it is to help small business. That's why there are trillions of dollars sitting on the sidelines. People won't invest, won't hire and won't spend because you don't know what this moron will do next. The whole financial meltdown was caused by a form of reparations, giving homes to people who couldn't afford them.
And so, we're in deep, deep economic trouble. And these liberals are going to friggin' sing and dance along, all the way, as they dance off a cliff.

Zero is -3.3 million jobs in the hole. Could become the first president ever to not create ONE NEW JOB.
While Obama cannot create jobs, he is doing a good job of destroying jobs.

Yes, but let us never forget that Odumba$$ has “saved” millions of jobs, and that things would be much worse if this ignorant, clueless, dangerously arrogant socialist wasn’t at the helm.
Bush’s Fault....
He is creating several hundred thousand NEW FEDERAL JOBS.
