“Tuesday, September 14. Sarah might be waiting for the exact right time. This race just started getting hot less than a week ago when the Tea Party Express said it would be spending $ in Delaware.”
I think she is waiting. I believe she knew Castle would use these attacks figuring that Murkowski did not attack. So when the attacks are out there good, Sarah will slam into Castle with her endorsement of Christine, which will suck all the air out of the attacks and label Castle as the liberal he is, enabling Christine to win. That is how I would play it.
ANd these attacks are, as Mark Levin said, phony. They don’t mean an thing other than that she is not a multi- millionaire, which most voters are not as well. There is going to be a backlash against these attacks (as Mark Levin pointed out on his radio show) since many voters are experiencing financial difficulties now. And it will have a similar effect as the one in South Carolina. And when that (back)lash falls on old Castle, who do you think is gonna be wielding the whip?
Christines financial issues can be spun to Christines advantage.
Where was the Delaware GOP when Christine was taking on debt to try to defeat a Liberal Democrat in 2008? Were they unable to help her? Or were they unwilling? Did they prefer Biden to O’Donnell in 2008? Was O’Donnell too conservative for the RINOs in the Delaware GOP?
The Delaware GOP doesn’t seem to even like elections.
DeMint’s endorsement is also valuable. And a month or two ago DeMint’s organization said that they were watching this race and they might get involved if the race seemed winnable.
What that says to me is that they should be getting involved.
It’s clearly a winnable race at this point. They didn’t mention Christines financial issues as a factor, so we can assume that they do not consider them a disqualifier, because these were known issues when they made the original statement. I knew about them when the DeMint statement was released.
