Basically Obama does what he thinks is good for Obama on the world level. He sees us as nothing but a stepping stone. One that he intends to wear away before he leaps onto the world stage. The world stage will be so much easier to manipulate without the strongest country in the world to get in his way. This why many of his decisions seem to make him unpopular here. They are not targeted to please us but rather to show the world that he is their man.
